  • Overview

    This position contributes to the implementation and sustainability of the Process Excellence (PE) program.  The Process Excellence Specialist will partner with the branch/cluster/function PE Manager (if applicable) and PE IO leaders to assist the execution of the Business Process Management, Business Process Improvement, Innovation and Cultural Change projects within their area of responsibility.  The PE Specialist/Sr. Representative will support the PE leadership in the deployment of the PE program by coordinating and supporting: training of staff, communication, project portfolio management, BPM implementation, BPI (continuous improvement projects) and any strategic initiatives related to continuous improvement and cultural change.


    The PE Specialist/Sr. Representative is expected to have background academic formation and exposure to Process Excellence concepts, but will receive knowledge leveling in subjects such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, BPMS, and other improvement methodologies to further drive Process Excellence throughout the organization. The PE Specialist/Sr. Representative serves as a change agent, problem solver, facilitator, project team member and learning coach to drive a new culture. The PE Specialist/Sr. Representative will participate as a resource and support staff on process improvement projects on behalf of the organization, thus business acumen will count among one of the key requirements to develop and actively apply while leading by example.




    1. Responsible to work with the country/cluster/function leader and operations managers to improve their value stream/ process performance through the support and execution of Business Process Improvement projects.
    2. Responsible for working with the Process Excellence Leaders to ensure standardization and promotion of the Process Excellence program including training coordination, support and eventual execution associated to BPI, BPM, Innovation and Cultural Change.
    3. Responsible for ensuring that BPMS is executed within GM Financial by assisting logistics coordination, visibility and supporting execution, including employee coaching, as well as supporting BPM initiatives in selected process areas
    4. Support and build PE deliverables to support methodology execution
    5. Standardize Process Excellence training portfolio (BPI & BPM to consolidate versions, create a unique repository and help on translating training information as required)
    6. Responsible for facilitating project team’s use of data driven tools and methodologies, and for driving for results and monitoring outcomes of each project.
    7. Responsible for supporting project status and updates presentation to project champions and executive leaders according to established standards and frequency.
    8. Maintain strict confidentiality of all information.
    9. Some travel could be required


    Education level:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Master’s Degree is a plus

    Certifications or special training required: 

    • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification
