    The Senior Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) will be the business lead, assisting operations globally on assigned Point of Sale development/enhancement projects or initiatives.  They will partner with the assigned IT lead and be responsible for business deliverables, cost, schedule and quality for their projects/initiatives.  They will champion global solutions and common processes, and will act as an advocate for customer’s needs.


    • Responsible for the deliverables, cost, schedule and quality for assigned Point of Sale application development projects within LAO.
    • Develops and reviews project plans.
    • Manages issues and risks, contributing to issue resolution.
    • Working with the local business, allocates and directs staff and other resources to accomplish project tasks and maintains overall business control of the project.
    • Monitors progress, providing timely and accurate updates and escalating any issues promptly.
    • Review all requirements and drive common process and procedures, ensuring application functionality is utilized, identify impact to other systems, providing detailed benefits arguments to support the approval process to Director POS
    • Develops and maintains strong collaborative relationships with IT project members, RPD functional SME,s and vendor resources.
    • Interfaces with Country Management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction.
    • Takes a hands-on approach to the management of all project activities and coaches team to deliver quality in a timely fashion.
    • Create a knowledge bank of how and why and configuration capabilities of each system working with the RPD Team.
    • Coordinating the training plan maintaining/updating library to support local business user leveraging GMF tools of delivery & GMF College including business readiness plan for training on the launch of new initiatives and New Starts on boarding process for POS.
    • Acts as an advocate for the customer (both retailers and consumers) and their needs at all times.
    • Ensures that change is fully embedded in operations.  


    • At least 10 years’ experience gained in GMF (or other relevant motor finance company) retail operational roles.
    • Bachelor degree in business related areas is a must.
    • Fluent in both Spanish & English
    • Familiar with different project management frameworks and their common tools and methodologies.
    • Experience gained from working on retail-related projects/initiatives.
    • Good knowledge of retail systems in local market.
    • Available to travel within LAO for business purposes, potentially for extended periods of up to one month.
    • Available for occasional travel outside LAO for business purposes, when called upon to do so.
    • Good communication and influencing skills at all levels (both verbal and written).
    • Understanding of and respect for cultural differences and able to modify approach accordingly.
    • Understanding of Process Excellence (BPMS & BPI) principles, tool and techniques (a Green Belt would be an advantage).
