    Working under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Operating Expense, the analyst will be the lead to providing visibility for GMF International Operations operating expenses. Performing monthly reviews of actual costs to facilitate a comparison against budget and forecast data will be critical to success.  Reporting on monthly project financials is required to perform standard financial control processes to support management reporting on a monthly basis.  The analyst will also need to provide month end close support, serving as key liaison between Finance and Corporate Accounting groups.    

    Responsibilities

    • Drives efficient monthly financial close processes, including expense accruals.
    • Review purchase requisitions to ensure alignment with forecast and budget, and determine appropriate cost treatment prior to approval.
    • Review project manager financial forecast on a regular basis from discovery through implementation, insuring that workbooks agree and are compliant with Finance project management guidelines.
    • Prepare monthly variance analysis.
    • Prepare monthly managerial reporting.
    • Prepare cost center individual reporting for leadership.
    • Participate in preparing accurate budgets and forecasts.
    • Maintain Invoicing Database.
    • Present and recommend insights gained through analysis to leadership

    Qualifications

    Experience: 

    • 2+ years of Finance or Accounting experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in business related field
    • Must have experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables).
    • Knowledge and experience in ERP and financial systems are preferred.
    • Knowledge and experience in Cognos reporting system are preferred.
    • Knowledge and experience in Hyperion Essbase are preferred.

    • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, organized, and able to meet multiple finite deadlines and balance competing priorities.
    • Team player; ability to partner with colleagues in multiple departments and geographic locations.
    • Ability to perform with business process improvement mindset.
    • Must have skills/abilities to interact and present to senior management on a regular basis.
