    Falling under the overall banner of Risk Administration, the role is responsible for oversight and team management of three pivotal central consumer risk pillars:


    • Governance: Project management of GMF IO consumer credit risk key priorities and initiatives, including coordination of risk involvement in cross-functional, global efforts; Maintenance of consumer credit risk policies and procedures;
    • Quality: Maintain oversight and program ownership of the consumer quality control program, outlining direction for, and coordinating activities with, local market quality control resources;
    • Reporting: Lead team responsible for creating reports and materials for critical consumer risk meetings and deliverables, including the Consumer Risk Committee (CRC), centralized risk dashboards, quality assurance monitoring and reporting, quarterly reporting, and ad-hoc requests;


    Integral to success will be the development of key relationships, both internal and external to risk, including frequent interaction with senior risk leadership. This will deepen cooperation, engagement and understanding to meet the needs of global and local risk teams. The role will also be involved with other areas within risk administration, including – but not limited to, data strategy, governance, open defect follow-up, pricing/new product processes and overall support to cross market coordination of key credit risk activities.


    • Work as Credit Risk PMO to ensure timely prioritization, execution, and delivery of key projects and initiatives, including (but not limited to):
      • Strategic project planning and goal setting;
      • Project execution and governance;
      • Project documentation and archives;
      • Project prioritization and portfolio alignment;
      • Process improvement and standards development;
    • Manage consumer credit risk reporting resources to produce key management reports and respond to ad hoc requests
    • Re-design, and maintain the consumer reporting dashboards and CRC process, and support Sr. Management with consumer risk reporting needs;
    • Maintain oversight and design of the consumer quality function, including defining scope and prioritization for local quality control resources
    • Embed with process excellence initiatives to ensure identification and execution of BPI opportunities;
    • Maintain all Consumer Risk Policies and Procedures;
    • Support strategic data initiatives such as ODS roll out, IDI and DW;
    • Maintain and execute the IO Credit Risk Governance process;
    • Support Pricing and New Product process for credit risk inputs (loss assumptions and product risk assessments);
    • Maintain tracking and follow-up on open Audit, LRG and self-identified credit risk issues to ensure satisfactory closure;
    • Coordinate cross-market and central / local credit risk activities



    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) package;
    • 5+ years’ experience in Credit Risk in the Financial/Automotive sector;
    • Experience in the new product / pricing process, including risk assessment analysis;
    • Specific knowledge/experience with risk or financial reporting;
    • Working knowledge of policy governance;
    • Experience in delivering written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical audiences;
    • Working knowledge of SAS (Base, Macros) or SQL is a plus. Other coding experience will be considered;
    • Finance, business, economics degree or equivalent

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Ability to coordinate key projects with a variety of stakeholders;
    • Highly self-motivated and able to work well under pressure;
    • Problem solving ability;
    • Exceptional planning and organizational skills;
    • Fluent in English verbal and written – other languages advantageous;
    • Flexibility to travel internationally on limited basis if needed;
    • Eye for detail, pride in work and quality of output;
    • Works to timelines and can manage/plan workloads effectively;
    • Ability to ask the right questions to drive understanding and help find solutions;
    • Excellent relationship management skills;
    • Proven execution on process improvement and project delivery;
    • Ability to direct and motivate a team in order to deliver a common goal;


    • Fluency and proficiency English
    • Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
