The PMO Coordinator will be responsible for providing PMO support and project coordination services to Projects and Programs within the GMF IT Function. To assist in project organization, governance and delivery of quality products.
Ensure projects are governed and managed according to the GMF Project Management policies & procedures and appropriate methodology.
Ensure Project Managers update & maintain the Project Management Tool (Planview) as required & follow Planview processes.
Monitor the quality and timeliness of the project milestones and deliverables and the associated project activities
Support the distribution, storage and retention for project related reports, documents and other deliverables
Perform ad-hoc process assessments on all projects on or after key milestones have been achieved.
Mentor & support Project Managers on Project Management & Project Governance processes as and when required.
Communicate best practices and process improvements across delivery teams.
Conduct weekly meetings with Project Managers to assess project progress and provide guidance on Project Management processes.
Help maintain Sharepoint Teamsites for all Projects.
Maintain accurate knowledge of Project Management processes and support the PMO in the development of changes and improvements.
Support the PMO in achieving current key strategies (including Resource management, Investment Planning and Metrics Development)
Bachelor degree is required
Project Planning experience is a must.
Experience of Enterprise Project Management tools an advantage.
Understanding of project methodology/CMMi
Evidence of Project Management training/certification or capability/willingness to undertake and complete training
