    The Business Systems Analyst will work both independently and with a team to ensure all levels of Management understands certifications and business roles. This position may require traveling to GMF locations to present material to ensure competency of certifications and business roles. This role will work independently at times and make daily decisions based on business needs.

     

    The Analyst will have admin access to all applications and is required to add, remove, and report on all internal and external applications. The Analyst will also work with Senior Management on a daily basis. Additionally, this position is required to evaluate tools, monitor usage of elevated access, and support Management and system owners in reviewing user’s permissions for appropriateness.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and build Business Roles.
    • Conduct meetings regarding certifications.
    • Advise business units how to build and maintain templates.
    • Make modifications to all systems that Provisioning Services manages
    • Work with the Business to identify SoD.
    • Grant, maintain, and monitor application, data, and content access for the Enterprise based on a need-to-know need-to-do basis.
    • Provide knowledge and assistance in the handling of routine and ad hoc report requests.
    • Conduct accurate evaluation of the level of security required to perform job responsibilities.
    • Coordinate and provide summary reports for management of the business units including, but are not limited to, reviewing computer access for their team members.
    • Prepares data access reviews for employed, contracted, and temporary users.
    • Perform monitoring of user access to application and file servers in accordance with safeguarding requirements.
    • Facilitate the preparation and analysis of inter-company reports that monitor network, third-party and physical access for employed and contracted users.
    • Identify and understand mission critical and compliance sensitive applications and data for support or monitoring by the Provisioning Services team.
    • Assist with data quality within certifications, business roles, applications and entitlements.
    • Provide direction and review the work of less experienced analysts.
    • Process system queue requests with accuracy, efficiency, and SLA standards.
    • Interact with business units to ensure that a high level of customer service is maintained.
    • Participate in development and drive process improvement.
    • Efficiently test enhancements
    • Up to 25% International and U.S travel required.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge  

    • Knowledge of Provisioning and/or Security best practices and principles is required.
    • Requires familiarity with domain structures and user authentication.
    • Must be familiar with and comply with GLB, ISO 27001, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other federal and state regulations.
    • Strong understanding of Identity Management.
    • Understanding of SSO.

     

    Skills  

    • Demonstrated experience implementing platform-specific authentication and authorization services on Active Directory, IBM iSeries, Oracle, Cognos, and web based applications.
    • Data mining for report building purposes.
    • Ability to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to management.
    • Strong customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented with good analytical skills.
    • Ability to exercise prudent judgment and offer knowledgeable advice that is specific and practical for the GM Financial environment.
    • Ability to work and make decisions both independently and in a team environment.
    • Judgment in security matters with only general guidance from management.

     

    Experience      

     

    • 3+ years’ experience within the discipline of Provisioning Services or Information Security for a medium to large company.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or other Business degree preferred; equivalent experience in Provisioning Services or Information Systems may substitute.
    • ITIL certification required
    • SailPoint experience preferred.
    • SQL experience preferred.
    • Powershell experience preferred.
    • ServiceNow experience preferred.
