  • Overview

    The Insurance Supervisor (3G) is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing administration of insurance products and services sold via the GM dealer distribution channel or through other channels. This position is a key factor for the strategic relationship with different stakeholders GM, Insurance Companies and other vendors. On the other hand, the role implies a permanent support to sales area and other areas of the company based in the insurance expertise.


    Position Objectives & Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement insurance products and related services for GM, GMF
    • dealers and their customers
    • Act as primary point of contact on insurance products and services for the local GMF branch, insurance partners, brokers, dealers and customers.
    • Negotiate, develop & monitor commission/fee income on behalf of GMF.
    • Manage different vendors and ensure we are getting our best deal.
    • Once in place, administer and resolve issues associated with existing insurance products and programs
    • Support sales & marketing initiatives between, GM, GMF, dealers and their customers. This includes opportunities such as re-solicitation schemes, cross-selling activities and campaigns.
    • Coordinate local fee income business plan and monthly financial updates, assist and control reporting with issue summarization, presentation and data development
    • Complete yearly insurance market, products and services competitive analysis, covering topics such as: products offered variations in insurance coverage, dealer commissions, pricing, and loss information.
    • Negotiate and maintain contracts with local insurance partners and brokers. Interact with local legal and insurance authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Lead insurance projects


    Qualifications & Experience


    • Fluent in English
    • Ability to work independently (limited supervision)
    • Comfortable having discussions with senior management
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
    • Experience working within a matrix organization
