  • Overview

    The Commercial Lending Center (CLC) Manager in Mexico is primary responsible for managing a team of credit analysts that perform the underwriting of all credit reviews for dealerships, L/R companies, single purchasers, as well as other requests to support Operations, GM and dealerships necessities in Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru.

     

    The manager will also be responsible to represent the CLC in projects and be the liaison between Commercial Risk and GMF Operations and Sales departments.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the CLC team and work to ensure that the performance goals are met
    • Ensures the quality of the credit reviews and miscellaneous routings completed by the CLC are consistent and to standards that meet leadership´s requirements
    • Cross read all credit reviews and proposals
    • Obtain relevant information for sound recommendations
    • Conduct training and workshops for the CLC team, Operations and Sales
    • Liaison with Operations and Sales representing the CLC
    • Co-ordinate the daily work flow
      • Manage the monthly scheduled credit reviews
      • Manage additional requests from Operations, GM and dealerships
    • Interpretation of signs of increasing risk and co-ordinate serious credit risk situations
    • Become the policy/procedures expert to support the CLC team and Operations
    • Support internal and external audits requirements

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    • Previous experience with Commercial credit analysis (e.g. financial statements, income statements, cash flow and other financial analysis);
    • Experience in managing diverse, Operations, Sales and dealers relationships;
    • Degree level educated in Business Administration, Economy, Engineer or Accountancy;
    • Ability to lead and manage a team;
    • Ability to analyze commercial finance statements; including audited balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements


    Prefereble:
    Previous experience in wholesale operations;

     

    Skills & Knowledge

    • Fluent in English verbal and written – other languages advantageous;
    • Ensure understanding of credit policies and procedures established;
    • Highly self-motivated and able to work well under pressure;
    • Analytical mind-set, business results oriented, ethical and high integrity;
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks;
    • Works to timelines and can manage/plan workloads effectively;
    • Good planning and organizational skills;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Eye for detail, pride in work and quality of output;
    • Ideally knowledge of the car financing sector/market (this is a plus);
    • High analytical capacity and problem solving ability;
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word);
    • High responsibility;
    • Strong interpersonal skills and team work.
