    This position is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of the Operating Lease portfolio, Repossessed vehicle inventory and Commissions. Working under the leadership of the Portfolio Accounting Manager, this position will be responsible for preparing the financial reporting, implementing controls and  analysis aligned with GM Financial (GMF) accounting policy and supporting Business Process Excellence for Portfolio Accounting activities. The Portfolio Accounting Analyst requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team with both internal (operations, tax, etc.) and external (system development team, OEM, etc.) counterparts.


    • Responsible for the daily accounting of the Operating Lease portfolio and 
    • Repossessed vehicle inventory, maintaining accurate write off (w/o) balances, & reconciling items >60 days. 
    • Responsible for the daily accounting of Commissions, maintaining accurate w/o balances, & reconciling items >60 days. 
    • Timely conclusion of the monthly accounting reconciliations for key and non-key accounts. 
    • Implement robust controls and maintain updated process maps for the Lease portfolio. 
    • Finance lead for Lease related projects. 
    • Coordinate with Finance Project Manager all system developments related to the Lease portfolio.


    • Accountant 
    • At least 2 years’ experience in a Financial Services Company required, experience in a 
    • Big Four firm is a plus. 
    • +2 years’ experience in accounting for Operating and Finance Lease portfolios is a plus. 
    • Spanish (Fluent) / English (Intermediate)
    • Knowledge of preparing and mapping procedures and controls. 
    • Knowledge of local accounting principles (NIF). US GAAP is a plus. 
    • Experience or exposure to Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) compliance is a plus. 
    • Proven ability to produce documents, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, etc. 
    • MS Office tools proficiency. 
    • Excellent organizational skills, ability to create and maintain work relationships. 
    • Strong oral, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate with individuals and groups. 
    • Proactive with strong analytic and problem solving skill set.
