Overview

The Compliance Reporting & Testing Lead will be responsible for: (1) leading the Compliance Function in the overall development, management, and maintenance of compliance reporting for the organization; (2) maintaining GMF International Operations (GMF IO) AML software tools; and (3) lead Information Life Cycle Management (ILM) efforts.  In addition, the position supports the Compliance Testing Manager in fulfilling the annual testing plan.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, consolidate, and report compliance metrics and other data on a monthly, quarterly or as needed basis; assist in identification and communication of compliance and operational trends for management review purposes.
  • Design and implement quality reports, charts, and graphs that assess trends and performance.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of work in order to deliver quality reporting.
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of metric definitions, processes, tools and templates to deliver timely and accurate information to the senior leadership team.
  • Maintaining GMF International Operations (GMF IO) AML software tools as well as liaise with GMF NA team working to consolidate AML tools sets.
  • Manage central ILM efforts including maintaining policy, standards and schedules that are utilized by all country branches.
  • Coordinate all efforts with local country compliance team.
  • Conduct periodic effective challenge of compliance issues, metrics, and other data to validate practicality and reporting findings with recommendations based on historical trends.
  • Identify control gaps, escalate related issues and participate in developing solutions for remediation.

Qualifications

  • +5 years’ experience within a regulatory compliance, risk management, or audit role within financial services industry
  • +1 year or more experience within a reporting and testing role
  • +1 year or more experience within information life cycle management role
  • Bachelor’s degree within a relevant disciplines
  • Using Microsoft Office suite - building tools/databases and process to enable efficient collection and consolidation of data from multiple sources
  • Designing quality reports presenting information in a meaningful manner adapted to the target audience’s needs
  • Experience in a compliance role within the financial service industry a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar a plus
