Overview

As a member of the US-based Corporate Finance team, the Management Reporting Senior Analyst is responsible for reporting operational and financial metrics for Latin American and China country operations. The Senior Analyst centrally coordinates all forecasting and reporting for GMF IO operating expenses, leads the development of insurance reporting, supports the cost center framework and leads all Global Function reporting and analytics.  The senior analyst will gain international exposure by working with the in-country finance partners to understand key business drivers in local markets.

As part of a highly effective and cross continent organization, the senior analyst is expected to demonstrate financial acumen, sharp communication and influencing skills and process engineering capabilities.   The senior analyst will gain broad-based knowledge of auto finance products in a matrix environment and will become an expert in some financial and operational metrics

Responsibilities

  • Monthly Reporting
    • Prepares operating expenses monthly variance analysis: Actual vs. Forecast/Budget, Quarter over Quarter, etc.
    • Prepares Global Function reports and analytics (SME)
    • Prepares Insurance reports and analytics (SME)
  • Management Close
    • Support cost center framework execution through training and governance routines
    • Prepares operating expense reports
  • Forecasting/Planning
    • Leads operating expense forecast process for all of IO
    • Complete required variance analysis; i.e. current Forecast/Budget vs. prior Forecast; Year over Year
  • Ad-Hoc Requests
    • Assists in the preparation of stress scenarios
    • Contributes to ad hoc analytical projects as necessary
    • Runs the EO expense allocation model as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years previous work experience in Finance or Accounting related field
  • BS/BBA degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • Proven track record of driving for results with minimal ongoing direction
  • Proven track record of influencing decisions with great analytics
  • Experience with cost center budgeting, reporting and analysis, is a plus
  • Highly skilled in Excel and eager to learn new systems (i.e., Essbase, Oracle, WPS)
