The Commercial Senior Underwriting is responsible for performing comprehensive credit analysis to corporate companies and groups (Chevrolet dealerships, P&A distributors and lease rental companies) in which the customer credit risk, financial trends and the payment capacity are evaluated in order to review and define credit lines, based on the credit policies and procedures established by GMF.


  • Responsible to perform comprehensive credit reviews (in English language) to assess the credit risk of customers portfolio (GM dealerships, P&A distributors and lease rental companies);
  • Assigned and review customers internal ratings;
  • Assure that the credit risk management approach used by GMF in decision-making and is effective, efficient and compliant with policies, procedures and local regulations;
  • Ensure GMF’s risk appetite is being accurately applied at all times, and continuously work to mitigate risk through the customer’s credit reviews.
  • Support the GMF business in its growths objectives



  • Relevant experience in banking credit review for corporate companies and groups + 3 years;
  • Credit Risk in the automotive finance (dealership and lease rental companies) – advantageous;
  • High experience in financial statement analysis (ability to interpret financial ratios, cash flow analysis; customer payment capacity and trends);  
  • Understanding of credit products (Retail, Leasing, Floor Plan and Working Capital)
  • Bachelor degree in Administration, Finance, Economics, or similar;
  • Master in Business or Finance – advantageous.


Skills & Knowledge

  • Fluent in English verbal and written – other languages advantageous;
  • Ensure understanding of credit policies and procedures established;
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work well under pressure;
  • Analytical mind-set, business results oriented, ethical and high integrity;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks;
  • Works to timelines and can manage/plan workloads effectively;
  • Good planning and organizational skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Eye for detail, pride in work and quality of output;
  • Ideally knowledge of the car financing sector/market (this is a plus);
  • High analytical capacity and problem solving ability;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word);
  • High responsibility;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team work.
