To work in a team of Business Analyst to lead and support the gathering, understanding, documenting of Business Requirements and to aid the Business, Test Analyst and Test Manager during SIT and UAT. This role is to act as the link between the Business and IT.


The Business Analyst works with stakeholders and SMEs from the business, IT, and external third parties to gather, analyse and translate specific needs, producing clear unambiguous business requirements to support change delivery within the Point of Sale Programme for International Operations.

Working with the internal developers and local business to ensure requirements are understood, developed and delivered in accordance with business expectations and global processes. The Business Analyst will support and facilitate all aspects of the full change life cycle including testing, deployment and post transition activities.


  • Provide support to the business and application specialists to ensure Change Requests meet the required Global Release Process guidelines and project standards and have been assessed for impact and globalisation.
  • Facilitate requirement capture workshops, resolving complex scoping issues and any stakeholder / vendor conflicts.
  • Working with the Project Manager, Business Analysts and Retail Programme Development Team to fulfill the Business Analyst Role and ensure there is continuity with the Global Requirements.
  • Continuous engagement with the internal developers to ensure that requirements are fully understood, clearly documented, and loaded into the requirement management tool.
  • Work directly with the local business, retail programme Team and internal developers to define solutions appropriate to the business needs, using sound technical knowledge to challenge and champion available options.
  • Peer review of all development produced requirement and solution documentation to ensure requirements have been accurately captured, clearly and concisely presented, and all elements have been addressed.
  • Present options, recommendations and project documentation to key stakeholders ensuring detail is understood and approved in accordance with project timeframes.
  • Work with the business, IT Testers, QA Team and developers to facilitate and support the full UAT cycle including test script design, test plan strategy, and facilitating daily UAT calls ensuring cross country synergy and coordination.
  • Identification and capture of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies ensuring full impacts have been understood and analysed whilst adopting a proactive approach to resolution and mitigation.
  • On larger or more complex changes undertake ‘As is ‘ and ‘To be’ process mapping and business modelling.
  • Takes a proactive and ‘hands on’ approach to project work and is adaptable in terms of style and activities undertaken
  • Develop a solid understanding of overall business and corporate objectives and works under broad project direction with the ability to self-define specific tasks.


  • At least 3 years working in a Business Analyst role or equivalent, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Degree or BA Certification preferred.
  • Experience of managing and supporting Internal Development Teams
  • Ability to travel internationality at potential short notice for extended periods of time (up to 3 weeks).

  • Proven track record of delivering business requirements, business process design and functional design on change projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to present complex data and arguments.
  • Experience of managing end to end UAT cycles .
  • Key involvement with various aspects of the requirements design process as well as the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong relationship management abilities across a diverse stakeholder population with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, flexibility, drive and personal commitment.
  • Knowledge of the requirements definition (RD) processes and modelling methods and tools.
  • Ability to apply general organisational knowledge of the business and systems processes in problem analysis.
  • Ability to be flexible to working locations and adapt styles to varying business practices and cultures.
  • Transfer of business knowledge and expertise to other employees.
  • Building excellent working relationships with customers and partnerships with internal teams.
  • Resolving customer issues and queries concerning business functionality requirements.
  • Investigation and resolution of business systems issues.
