Overview

The role will be to primarily support Commercial projects, and assist the GSW Business Analysts then required through project life cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert business analysis support to projects and applications within the Commercial Lending function
  • Work with the GMF branches to capture business requirements in detail low enough to develop functional changes.
  • Provide a high level of support and service to GMF branches across IO
  • Excel in functional and non-functional requirements gathering: stakeholder workshops, interviews, document analysis etc.
  • Assist the business in identifying change needs and providing a high level assessment the impact of the change
  • Engage with the business and vendors on issues impacting GSW/WSOL
  • Support vendors in identifying issues raised and assist in working towards a solution if required.
  • Understand the business requirements and have a high level understanding of the IT requirements needed to make the change.
  • Work with the Vendor to ensure all IT specific change requests are submitted in the appropriate timeframe.
  • Look to not only react, but to be proactive when reviewing change requests or identifying weak areas.
  • Be detail orientated in all facets of their role
  • Understands and promotes GMF’s policy on Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
  • Takes a hands on approach to project work and is adaptable in terms of style and activities undertaken.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree level educated or equivalent experience
  • Availability to travel internationally for business purposes, potentially for extended periods (up to 1 month)
  • Knowledge of the system requirements definition (RD) processes and modelling methods and tools
  • Knowledge of conceptual and logical modelling and the associated tools
  • Outstanding communication skills in both written and spoken format.
  • Outstanding customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to support prototyping activities that will validate business requirements and solution definition
  • Ability to apply general organizational knowledge of the business and systems processes in problem analysis
