Falling under the overall banner of Consumer Risk Reporting, the role will be responsible for the production of all aspects of Consumer Risk reporting across GMF International Operations. The role will maintain and enhance existing reporting routines while seeking out opportunities for standardization, increased efficiencies to drive timeliness of delivery and deliver bespoke ad hoc market requests.


The output of the work will be the monthly Consumer Risk Committee (CRC) executive report and local country central risk dashboards.


Integral to success will be the development of key relationships ranging from Consumer Risk Data to local market Consumer Risk teams. This will deepen cooperation, engagement and understanding to meet the needs of global and local risk teams. The role will also be involved with project work.


Position Objectives and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the day to day line management of up to 3 analysts.
  • Leads and develops a high performing cross functional reporting team operating within a matrix of customers/representatives from central and local risk across IO markets
  • Sets direction and clear milestones for the reporting team in order to meet deadlines.
  • Oversees the update process of current monthly risk reporting routines
  • Supports the enhancements of risk reporting processes and subsequent quality of output
  • Supports the data requirements gathering process and prioritization for customer groups across IO Consumer Risk
  • Supports reconciliation process; assesses gaps; identifies possible causes and solutions
  • Oversees the delivery of CRC documentation by market and consolidation activities
  • Continuously reviewing, documenting and improving department processes
  • Creation of International executive level monthly reporting pack
  • Pulling together data from multiple sources/stakeholders and translating into one consistent format
  • Conducts follow up with market and stakeholders across International Operations to ensure input and data accuracy
  • Assist local markets with further analysis as appropriate


Qualifications and Experience


  • Experience of developing and leading a high performing team
  • Working knowledge of SAS (Base, Macros) or SQL. Other coding experience will be considered
  • Experience in using the Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) package
  • Basic understanding in Credit Risk in the Financial/Automotive sector
  • Qualifications in quantitative related subjects
  • Experience in delivering written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical audiences      
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or other related fields
  • 3-5 years of industry experience
  • Experience working in automotive finance or credit risk a plus

  • Problem solving ability
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English verbal and written – other languages advantageous.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally on limited basis if needed
  • Eye for detail, pride in work and quality of output
  • Works to timelines and can manage/plan workloads effectively
